When people have something desirable that we don’t have—wealth, talents, popularity, etc.—envy is very natural. But we haven’t been called to the natural way of life; we’ve been called to the supernatural way of life. The Apostle Paul makes clear that agape love does not envy others. Why? Because envy secretly turns people into our enemy. But how can we overcome envy when so many solutions are just band-aids covering over the real problem? In this message we will look at God’s solution to battling envy so that you can move from being envious to being an encourager.
