When parents brought their children to see Jesus the disciples stepped in the way, rebuking them. But Jesus rebukes His disciples and welcomes the children into His presence. What comes to mind when you think of children? Noisy? Needy? A burden? Jesus radically challenges the way the world thinks about kids. Moreover, Jesus says that whoever wants to receive the kingdom of God must become like a little child. What in the world does that mean? We better find out—our salvation depends on it.
