1 Samuel Ch. 18 - Saul Becomes Jealous of David

Brent Hall | January 5

When the people of Israel begin to sing songs praising David over Saul, Saul becomes increasingly bitter. This threat to his kingship was a situation out of Saul’s control, and clearly this was God’s doing. Sometimes, life doesn’t go the way we want it to. Sometimes God’s will and our will don’t line up. What do we do then? What can we do when life is out of our control? How do we guarantee God’s favor rather than self-destruct? Maybe we can learn from Saul.
